"I joined Solace to bring compassion and joy to the geriatric patient population, a group that is often overlooked. Even simple moments like a conversation or a game can have a meaningful impact on their lives."

"I was drawn to Solace because it allows me to advocate for an often overlooked and underserved population that is personally meaningful to me, having grown up closely with my grandparents. The elderly have so much wisdom and compassion to share, and it is so worthwhile to support them during their most difficult times. I am grateful to be part of a community that cares about the geriatric as much as I do!"

"I joined Solace in order to connect with elderly patients in the hospital. The unfortunate reality is that many geriatric patients have few visitors, and that can be very lonely and disheartening. Those who do have family to visit often still spend long periods of time alone. What I didn't realize when I joined Solace was all of the wonderful friends I would find community in."

"My grandparents played a large role in my desire to work with the geriatric community. My grandpa has dementia, and even though he doesn't remember our interactions, I still cherish that moment because it's a moment of shared connection."

"My grandma has shown me that the elderly have so much valuable wisdom and life experience to impart! I love to listen, learn, and share joy with the elderly population, and simply spend meaningful time with them, offering the same companionship and loving support that I share in the relationship with my grandma."

"My grandpa lives completely by himself after my grandma passed away, and he began to confide in me about feeling lonely. Hearing his perspective made the experience of geriatric patients suffering loneliness all over the world feel more personal."
